Istanbul - Cappadocia - Ephesus
ISTANBUL
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After check in you will have a small orientation tour around your hotel.
ISTANBUL (OLD CITY TOUR)
You will meet your guide and together visit sites in the old city; Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Hippodrome. Later have a chance to explore the fascinating Grand Bazaar.
ISTANBUL
You will meet your guide and visit off the beaten track areas of Istanbul. Tahtakale, Eminonu, Kadikoy, Besiktas, Taksim, Beyoglu, Galata and Karakoy. We will be using public buses, ferries and dolmus (a shared taxi). This will be a good chance to see the real Istanbul.
ISTANBUL – CAPPADOCIA
Transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon visit Derbent, Zelve Open Air Museum which was a village where people used to live in their cave houses since Byzantine era and Pasabag which is famous for triple headed fairy chimneys. Tonight you have chance to watch whirling dervish ritual.
CAPPAOCIA
If you are interested this is a great place to do a hot air balloon ride.
Morning trek in the valleys of Cappadocia to have an idea of beauty of the region. Then you will drive to Goreme open Air Museum where you will find the best Byzantine Art from 10th, 11th century.
Then visit Kaymakli underground City. This is the largest underground city with nine levels going down. Today you have a chance to experience a Turkish Bath. Also tonight if you like you can experience a Turkish Folklore Show where there is no limit on food and local spirits.
CAPPADOCIA – IZMIR – SELCUK
Today you will fly to Izmir. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel which is in Selcuk. In the afternoon your guide will take you on a drive to Sirince Village which is famous for fruit wines and old Greek houses. You are able to wander the alley ways of the village and have dinner here.
EPHESUS TOUR – ISTANBUL
Depart in the morning with you guide, visit Virgin Mary’s house and then drive to Ephesus. After visiting this best preserved Roman City you will drive to Kiraz Village. Also a chance to visit St. John Basilica and continue to Izmir Airport to catch your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
ISTANBUL
After the breakfast tour finishes. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
